KJO Web Services are sponsoring a student run event at Leeds University this week - Rationalist Week. We of course cater for customers from all walks of life but due to our past work we are proud to have a close understanding of student needs. Why not come along to the Rationalist Week tent outside the students union, make the most of the event and pick up a KJO Web Services flyer?
In the interests of being open with customers about our quality of service we have now launched a status page on our website. This provides in depth information about what aspects of our services are running correctly and which aren’t, a live indication of the percentage uptime our servers enjoy and a chart, updated daily, showing our available bandwidth compared with that of some of our competitors.
It is worth noting that all statistics are gathered by 3rd party companies and merely syndicated on our website. We have no control over if those statistics make us look good or bad. We are forever touting our quality of service as one of our strong points and we hope this will make our claim a little less like smoke and mirrors and more like reality.
Another useful thing about the new status page is when you have a problem with something and believe it to be a server issue you can check the status page and make sure. For instance if you are having problems sending mail then you can check to see the status of the SMTP service on the Production server. If this is running then your mail client might be at fault. If it is shown as down then you can be sure we know about the problem and are working hard to fix it.
As always if you have any questions or queries about our statistics, your quality of service or anything else then you are welcome to contact our support team.
KJO Web Services are proud to announce the availability of a new webmail system. We have always offered webmail through CPanel but because the mail programs available this way were limited in functionality and didn’t offer many of the features available on desktop clients, we have installed an additional offering which we hope deals with these shortcomings.
The login link for the new webmail program is available on all pages of our site in the navigation bar on the left entitled “E-Mail”. If you have any problems using webmail you should, as always, feel free to contact support
We have been told by some of our customers that when they are sitting behind a proxy such as at work, in a public library or an academic institution they are unable to access CPanel or Webmail for their hosting accounts. Given that we want to make life as easy as possible for our customers, we have setup a way in which you can access your account even when behind a proxy.
- cpanel.kjowebservices.co.uk - CPanel access from behind a proxy
- webmail.kjowebservices.co.uk - Webmail access from behind a proxy
It is worth noting that if you *are* able to access your control panel and webmail in the usual way (yourdomain.tld/webmail etc.) then you should continue doing so as this reduces load on our servers and is more secure.
Already one of our customers? Interested in any of our products? Want an open and accountable way to ask for help or support? If you answer to any of these questions is yes then the KJO Web Services forum is what you’ve been looking for.

There are now even more ways you can get in touch with us for support or a sales quote. We have added instant messenger addresses on our contact page which you can start a chat to in any supported IM client in order to speak to us.
While we can’t promise to be online all the time or be able to solve complex issues over IM, we hope this will be useful for quick questions or a rough and ready quotes for work you might want doing. Next time you have a query why not drop us a message?
KJO Web Services now has a page on facebook. This allows users of the social networking site to interact with our company and also permits customers who use the facebook site to receive updates on what we are doing, such as posts from this blog, so they don’t need to visit our website all the time. If you like the quality of service you get from us then why not become a fan of our company on facebook?
We would like to take this opportunity to warn all clients of KJO Web Services to ignore any and all communications they might receive in the post from The Domain Registry of America. These mailings are a scam that attempt to get you to transfer your domain name away from us at significant cost to you where it will then be parked with renewal fees of £30 a year and upwards.
If you receive any letter of this nature, simply ignore it - nothing will happen to your domain. If you have any questions, contact us. Remember, if there are any issues with a domain you have purchased from us, it will be us who contacts you and no one else.
Welcome to the all new KJO Web Services website. Over the coming days we will bring all of the site features online and offer up a full range of new and exciting products and services. At present we have just placed online the bare minimum to support existing customers and to give people a general idea about the future layout of the site, but this will be expanded upon in the coming days into an expansive website for all new and existing customers.
This blog is a new addition to the KJO Web Services site and will be where we post updates on our services and news about our company. It is worth checking back here regularly for news of forthcoming products and if you are a customer you might find it useful to subscribe to our RSS feed so that you are kept up to date on issues that might affect your quality of service.
